에코앤드림, 벨기에 유미코아와 전기차용 전구체 공급계약 체결에코앤드림과 유미코아는 전기차 배터리용 전구체 공급을 위한 계약을 체결했다고 발표했다. 현지시간 3월 27일에 개최된 유미코아의 Capital Markets Day 2025에서 전기차용 양극활물질 전구체 공급계약을 체결했다고 발표했으며, 이번 계약을 발표하며 "에코앤드림 전구체 공장은 최첨단 저탄소 제조 공장을 통해 고품질 생산과 최고 수준 환경 지속 가능성 기준을 충족한다"고 말했다.최근 에코앤드림 새만금캠퍼스 준공식에는 유미코아 배터리소재 부문 핵심인사들이 참석하여 에코앤드림의 공장 준공을 축하했다. 에코앤드림은 이번 계약 공개를 통해 유미코아와의 협력 관계를 더욱 공고히 하며, 앞으로도 지속 가능한 파트너로서 함께 나아갈 계획이다.새만금캠퍼스는 연간 3만 톤의 전구체를 생산가능한 설비로, 가동준비에 만전을 기하고 있다. 현재 시운전 및 고객사 검증 샘플을 생산 중인 새만금캠퍼스와 이미 정상가동을 하고 있는 청주공장에서 생산되는 에코앤드림의 전구체는 유미코아의 글로벌 네트워크를 통해 최종적으로 글로벌 자동차업체의 전기차에 탑재된다. 에코앤드림은 미국의 IRA와 Non-FEOC에 적합한 밸류체인 구축을 마친 상태이다.지난해부터 에코앤드림은 유미코아에 하이니켈 전구체를 공급하고 있다. 에코앤드림에서 생산되는 전구체는 유미코아에 공급 중이며, 계약 물량은 청주공장과 새만금캠퍼스를 모두 커버하는 수준의 물량으로 캐즘과 무관하게 공급량이 지속적으로 확대될 전망이다.Eco&Dream in pCAM supply agreement with Belgium's Umicore...Eco&Dream announces a contract with Umicore for the supply of precursor cathode active materials (pCAM) for electric vehicle batteries.At Umicore's Capital Markets Day 2025, held on March 27th, the company announced that it has signed an agreement to supply pCAM for electric vehicles, saying that,“The Eco&Dream precursor plant meets the highest quality production and the highest level of environmental sustainability standards through a state-of-the-art low-carbon manufacturing plant.” Recently, key members of Umicore's battery materials division attended the Eco&Dream Saemangeum Campus ceremony to celebrate the completion of Eco&Dream's plant. Through the disclosure of this contract, Eco&Dream plans to further strengthen its cooperative relationship with Umicore and move forward together as sustainable partners.Eco & Dream is also continuously expanding its investments, including the recent expansion of its 30,000 tons of precursor capacity at the Saemangeum Campus. The Saemangeum Campus has a capacity of 30,000 tons of precursors per year and is fully operational. Eco & Dream's precursors produced at the Saemangeum Campus, which is currently producing samples for commissioning and customer validation, and at the Cheongju Plant, which is already fully operational, will eventually be used in electric vehicles from global automakers through Umicore's global network.
